“I am not an elaborate painter. I am more of a journalist who gets right to the point.”  Her choice  of subjects demonstrate a unique ability to capture the essence of everyday life. And the use of soft edges and bold colors stir up fascinating and exciting imagery.  Ilene has signature status with American Impressionist Society, Pastel Society of America, Northwest Pastel Society and master signature status with Women Artists of the West.  And most recently she has attained Signature with Oil Painters of America.
