Rhythms of Nature
This exhibition brings together two Pacific Northwest artists whose work is deeply inspired by the natural world. Teresa Smith’s luminous landscapes reflect the shifting moods of water, forest, and sky, capturing the quiet beauty of the region’s ever-changing light.
Peter Juvonen’s new series, Rewilding, moves beyond representation into abstraction. Through layered textures and organic forms, his paintings evoke the energy and rhythms of nature, guided by the philosophy of allowing wildness and balance to return.
Together, their work invites us to see and feel the landscape in different ways—through both the contours of place and the pulse of pure rhythm and form.
Join us at JG Art Gallery + Events and enjoy extraordinary artwork, bubbles and good cheer. Meet the artists, enjoy the new collection, have a glass of wine, and reconnect with friends.

“I seek to evoke empathy, compassion, empowerment, to elevate those who may not typically find themselves subjects on gallery and museum walls”.
I choose to paint girls and women, as from the beginning – and continuing into the present time – they have been at the forefront of the environmental and animal rights movements. I choose to paint young people, as they will inherit the planet we leave them. They are also among the strongest and most influential voices in environmental activism today. I like to think of my paintings as ‘portraits of the future’ – the subjects of my paintings will be impacted in the future by the decisions and choices made now .
