The abstract show. Open for Interpretation was organized around the premise that the most rigorous abstract work makes no concessions to explanation — it presents itself, demands attention, and trusts the viewer to bring what they bring. Marketa Sivek's layered oil surfaces. Peter Juvonen's built-up mixed media. Gary Groves' woodcut blacks.
