I build these surfaces the way time builds a wall — worn texture and stamped rose motifs pressed into the ground, then interrupted by a mint green block, a navy band, a scatter of cut shapes in turquoise and lavender. The old softness is already there; I lay the modern, unexpected note right across it. Worn surfaces and distressed textures combine to create something soft and familiar, then the bold swath arrives — gentle old meets dynamic new.
