The surface under moving light

Farm buildings reduced almost to geometry — cobalt, cream and mauve planes meeting at hard edges, a red band running along the base, and only a slight pitch in one roofline to say these are structures at all. It is the most abstract picture Wade has here. Nothing is described and the place is still entirely legible, which is a good demonstration of how little information a building actually needs.
