A fawn stands square on a green base, dappled coat rendered in pale spots across a warm ground, ears up and alert. Duzan keeps the legs properly thin — the thing that makes a fawn read as newborn — and gives the head a slight lift rather than a lowered graze. It is among her most straightforwardly affectionate pieces, with no ornament, no joke and no argument in it.
