Still pond water taking the reflection of a wooded bank, with reeds cutting the surface in the foreground and a violet-blue passage running through the middle. Everything is flat and matte. The reflection is painted slightly cooler and slightly darker than the bank it doubles, which is the only thing separating the two halves of the picture.
