The Duckabush running over boulders in late light, the rocks warm ochre and umber, the water pale between them. Eighteen by twenty-four. The Duckabush comes off the eastern Olympics and runs fast and shallow over exactly this kind of rounded stone. Late afternoon puts the warmth on the rock and leaves the water cool.
