A leopard runs the full width of a wide canvas, its spots worked as dark clusters on a stippled orange ground, and around it figures and smaller animals are drawn in unbroken green line. The linework and the painted cat occupy the same surface without acknowledging each other. Dionysus travelled with leopards; the title is an imperative, and the god himself is not in the picture. Fisher's most confident large composition here.
