The surface under moving light

The same golden field seen upright, so the ground rises and the sky is squeezed into the upper third. The barn sits small and slightly off centre with a single point of light above it. Sivek's titles are sentimental and her paintings are not — there is nothing warm in the handling here, just careful temperature control between a cold sky and a hot field, with a structure too small to shelter anyone placed exactly on the line between them.
