A raven in flight, wings fully open, painted deep indigo against pale blue and rust with a black border. Thirty by twenty-two. The bird fills nearly the whole panel. He has written that the animals in his work are there because they have enriched his life or hold personal meaning, and that he takes great care to represent the spirit of each — the wing anatomy here is exact.
