A wall of arches in deep indigo and cobalt, each opening filled with a different pattern — dotted fields, radiating suns, small standing figures — and bands of glyph-like marks running above and below. Gold appears in the lower registers, warm against all that blue. Fisher builds these ancient-city pictures as compartments rather than scenes: nothing recedes, everything is presented frontally in its own frame, the way a wall of votive niches presents things. This particular sheet is a giclée reproduction of an original monotype and collage.
