Her largest work here at three by four feet, and the most atmospheric: a wide expanse of water under a rose and violet sky with a dark headland and a long pier running out from the left. The palette opens right up — this is where two blues and two reds get to do everything — and the brushwork stays loose throughout. A big Russian-Impressionist sky in a Puget Sound key.
