A great inverted triangle of wasp nest material is fixed to a dark brown panel, apex pointing down, its lower point ragged where the structure ends. Nearly five and a half feet wide. Mann takes the most fragile building material in the natural world and imposes on it the most severe geometry she uses — a shape from surveying and navigation. The papery grey against the deep brown is the whole colour event.
