The surface under moving light

I worked into the unknown here — beeswax, damar resin, and pigment fused layer by layer until white spiraled out across a muted blue-gray field, the torch deciding where each line branched and each droplet settled. I think of it as the sea's own handwriting: circular, reaching, scattered like sea-foam across the surface. Each raised loop and sphere is the wax remembering its liquid self.
