I work worn surfaces and distressed textures into something soft and familiar — layers of gold leaf, pattern, and vintage botanicals accreting like time itself. Then I draw two teal lovebirds toward each other beneath a pale moon, and let a field of deep red-orange cut through: the modern, unexpected stroke that answers all that quiet patina. Gentle old meets dynamic new, and the eye finds its resting place where they almost touch.
