The palest painting Juvonen has here. A field of bone, ash and faint lavender carries small marks so close in tone to the ground that they surface only at close range, and there is no focal point anywhere. The whole picture works at one temperature. Held against his cloud paintings the title looks descriptive, but nothing in it depicts anything — it is fog as a condition of seeing rather than fog as a subject.
