The surface under moving light

A round wall piece: an animal's face set into a beaded disc, the fur worked in dark blue and black beads with flowers massed around the rim, and a small bird perched at the top edge looking down into the frame. The bird is the neighbour and the title is doing the work. Of Duzan's beaded wall pieces this is the only one that contains a second creature, and the whole composition turns on the sightline between them.
