A Pacific-slope flycatcher perched against warm green and scarlet, eighteen inches square. The teardrop eye-ring and the pale wingbars are exact. Walsh works this format repeatedly — a single bird, square sheet, one warm ground — and the consistency makes the series read as a set of records.
