A red-breasted sapsucker on a trunk against blue-grey, the whole head and breast scarlet as the species requires. Eighteen inches square. The bird is angled up the trunk in the posture sapsuckers actually hold, braced on the tail, rather than perched sideways as a generic bird would be.
