I build up the surface of Rose Et Rouge the way time builds up a wall — layers of worn, scraped paint and botanical pattern until something soft and familiar settles in. Then the coral-red ground pushes through, bold and modern, interrupting the roses, peonies, and cherry blossoms with an unexpected warmth that pulls the whole composition forward. Two birds rest on the winding branch at center, and the eye finds its resting place where gentle old meets dynamic new.
