A dense black lattice over a coral-red ground, the lines meeting at angles and enclosing small irregular fields, packed across the whole surface. It behaves like the calligraphic wall of Acre but harder-edged and more architectural — closer to a window screen than to writing. Named for the Lydian capital where coinage was invented, and the grid does read as something ruled and counted.
