Rounded forms in cobalt, oxblood and burnt orange are stacked and wedged against one another across the whole canvas, each one built up thickly enough to sit proud of its neighbours. Nothing is drawn and nothing recedes. The packing is the subject — the way rounded solids find their rest against each other — and the title names the everyday version of that without insisting the painting depicts it.
