I made this to hold the feeling I reach for every time I look toward the horizon and find something steadier than the noise of the day. The rays press outward from that bright point, and the birds cross through without hesitation — small, quiet proof that the world keeps its own order. Hand-coloring let me work the gold and white into the light until it carried the hope I was after.
