Figures wrestle a bull across a rust-brown ground, drawn in heavy black line with stars and geometric marks filling every gap. The composition is packed corner to corner — no ground plane, no sky, bodies and animal and ornament all on the same surface. Fisher takes the episode where Gilgamesh and Enkidu kill the beast Ishtar sends against them and paints it as a single knot of limbs, with the bull barely separable from the men.
