I painted this glen as I find it — a place where still water mirrors the pink bloom of rhododendrons and the world quiets down. This is the kind of corner of Bainbridge I want to leave as a record, the way you plant a tree before you die, so something of these magical places remains. I hope it offers a moment of respite from everything pressing in outside.
