Sea stacks off the coast at La Push, dark against a bright sky, with a creek running out across the sand toward them. Twenty inches square. The Quileute coast is the most photographed shoreline in the state and Weiss makes it work by putting the creek in the foreground — you enter the picture at your feet rather than at the horizon.
