Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island: floats and moored boats under a grey sky, forested hills closing the far shore. Twelve by sixteen. Cooler and greyer than her Puget Sound harbours, and the light up there genuinely is different — flatter, wetter, with far less contrast to work with, and she has not invented any. Note the title is spelled Torfino in our catalogue; the place is Tofino.
