Thirty by thirty-six inches, her largest and most expensive work. The Poulsbo boathouses again, but at scale and in early light — warm ochre on the roofs, cool blue in the shadowed water, boats moored along the front. What was a nine-by-twelve study elsewhere in her catalogue is here given room to become an ambitious picture.
