A seated figure in profile, painted in flat rose and green with almost no modelling, against a coral ground. Twenty by sixteen. The title borrows Whistler's Mother — the same severe profile, the same seated posture — and empties it of its tonal gravity, replacing black and grey with two hot colours. A joke made entirely in paint.
