I work into layered greens and deep teals until a small wren emerges — head tilted upward toward a pale moon — one of those quiet creatures of the island we so rarely pause to notice. This is the kind of moment I return to again and again in my work: still, unhurried, a breath of respite from the noise of the world. Mixed media on paper.
