Four wrens gather round the rim of a shallow bronze basin, tails cocked, in the positions birds actually take at water — one drinking, one turned away, two facing off. The basin's outer surface is left pale and rough where the birds and rim are worked smooth, so the piece has two entirely different textures meeting at the lip. Duzan gets more life out of the arrangement than out of any single bird in it.
