A wolf walks left with a raven flying above it, both drawn in graphite-fine detail over a ground of smoke-stained paper pieced in rectangles and ringed with drawn circles. Twenty-four by thirty. The two animals do not acknowledge each other. It is the largest and most complete statement of his method: smoke-stained paper, assembled surface, drawn creature, hand-ruled geometry.
