Happy Barn, Night in Beautiful Fields
Night, and the only warmth in the picture is at ground level — a scatter of red, amber and green lights along the dark band beneath the barn, like windows in a village too far off to draw. Above, deep ultramarine holds a thin crescent moon. The barn itself is pale and takes the moonlight flatly, with no cast shadow anywhere. Sivek almost never paints a light source, and here she paints a dozen small ones, none of which illuminate anything.
