Fish Camp on Stavis Bay
A weathered fish camp on the shore of Stavis Bay, the water a broad pale sheet under a soft sky and the far treeline dark. Twenty-four by thirty-six. Weiss works plein air on oil-primed linen, and at this size the picture would have been begun on site and carried further in the studio. The camp is the only structure and it sits low, giving the water most of the canvas.
