Alcus is a particular cat, the kind that claims a room, and the shadow that follows is every bit as present as the animal itself. I find that pairing honest: the solid and the cast, two versions of the same life sharing the same ground. There's something in island domesticity worth sitting with, and Alcus gave me that.
