A seated nude on green grass against a wall of soft mint and rose, one knee drawn up, the head turned away. Twelve by nine inches. The flesh is built from warm ochres and cool violets side by side rather than blended, which is a pastelist's habit carried into paint — she has said she likes not having to mix colours.
