Garden Café
A patio under a red umbrella, with metal chairs and tables in green and black scattered across dappled ground and a stone wall behind. Light falls through the umbrella in patches of cream and gold. It is Wade's warmest picture and her most horizontal in feeling — everything is at sitting height, nothing rises. The chairs are empty and arranged as though people have just left them.
