A jackrabbit lying with its ears laid flat along its back, carved in wood and finished with painted detail rather than cast — the only carved piece in Duzan's group here. The grain runs the length of the body and she leaves it visible, working blue-grey paint only into the ear hollows and around the eye. Ears down on a hare means alarm, not rest, and the whole low crouched form carries it. An edition of twenty; this is the second.
