Mutiny Bay
A wide Whidbey Island bay: a low green headland, a broad pale beach, a shallow curve of water, all rebuilt from blocks of sage, rose, cream and cobalt. Fifteen by thirty. She has said her deconstructions aim to shed light on the beauty of ordered chaos, and a beach at low tide is already a field of unrepeating shapes before she starts.
