Persepolis
Interlocking organic forms in violet, magenta and turquoise coil across a purple ground, each shape outlined heavily in black and filled with its own small pattern — dots, rings, hatching. There is no architecture here despite the title, and no ground plane. The whole surface is given over to a single continuous knot that never resolves into figure or symbol. Of the ancient-city group this is the one that abandons the compartment structure entirely.
