Ride In The Trees
A chairlift climbing through dark firs, the chairs carrying riders as small blocked silhouettes, the snow beneath worked in pale blue with the ground showing through. The trees are cut as hard vertical shapes either side so the lift line reads as a corridor. Wade's second-largest work here, and the one where the vertical format does most — you feel the climb rather than see it.
