From the spiralling technique I have developed over the last twenty-eight years of working with bamboo: two layers of curved bamboo splits, sewn and layered together, with cast paper and glass leaves. In this series I am inspired by DNA structure, seashells, and the unique and complex method used to create these pieces. The spiralling forms change depending on the number of bamboo strips used, their length, curvature, layering, and the placement of handmade glass beads, becoming increasingly complex.
