The Trojan Horse
A horse in flat black cut form, head lowered, standing on a plinth with four short posts beneath — the wheels the wooden horse was rolled in on. Fisher gives it a docked, upright tail and a slightly swayed back, so it reads as a made thing rather than an animal. The trick is that the silhouette is entirely solid: there is nowhere in this horse for anyone to hide, which is the one thing the story requires.
