Eagle Harbour

Brooke Borcherding

Masts and hulls at their moorings, twenty inches square, the water beneath rebuilt from rectangles of teal, rose and cream. Eagle Harbour is the Bainbridge ferry harbour. Where a plein air painter would soften the reflections, Borcherding hardens them — the water is as faceted as the boats, so surface and object are made of the same material.
