Sunset On Sunday
A wide canvas held almost entirely in warm brown-gold, with a low cloud band across the middle and a single point of orange burning at the horizon just left of centre. The foreground is nearly black. This is Juvonen at his most atmospheric and least descriptive — no island, no water, no structure, just depth of air and one hot point to measure it against. The nearest thing to a monochrome he has here.
