Butter Woods
I work into the unknown here — golden ochre and dark reddish-brown meeting white in thin, irregular streaks as the wax moves downward, the torch deciding where each line settles. The surface holds what happened: the bubbles, the splatter, the texture that stays once the wax cools. I am always adding new layers, yet always reaching down to what's underneath.
