I keep asking myself where home actually is — and this piece holds that question without answering it. I worked horizontal bands of sky and water across the canvas, then let a dark silhouette push into the upper right, familiar enough to read as shelter but too uncertain to claim. The diagonal stroke cutting across the sky was the big move — the one that could have broken everything, and maybe that tension is the whole point.
