I build my surfaces in layers — worn, weathered, familiar — and then I interrupt them with something unexpected. Here, the aqua center holds its quiet, while the deep crimson panels push forward with an energy that feels entirely of this moment. A blue bird rests among cherry blossoms and lace-like rosettes, each element gathering as if generations of hands had passed the canvas along, adding their own mark — gentle old meeting something bold and new.
