Boat Reflections, Ucluelet Harbor
Masts and hulls doubled in still harbour water, the reflection occupying more of the picture than the boats themselves. Wallis paints the reflected rigging as broken verticals that wander where the real ones stand straight, which is the whole difference between an object and its image on water.
